خلاصه داستان : مریِل ساندی پدر و هالیس بنِیستر در آلاسکا ناپدید شده‌اند. الی و مریِل جونیور برای یافتن آن‌ها راهی جست‌وجو می‌شوند، اما در دل طبیعت وحشی، تهدیدی باستانی سایه‌به‌سایهٔ آن‌ها حرکت می‌کند؛ موجودی که در حالی آن‌ها را شکار می‌کند که آن دو در تلاش‌اند حقیقت پشت این ناپدیدشدن‌ها را کشف کنند.
