خلاصه داستان : خواننده مغرور اپرا در مرداب های لوئیزیانا با مرد ماهیگیر شلخته و خشنی آشنا میشود که صدای خوبی دارد. مدیر برنامه هایش او را تشویق میکند که برای آموزش خوانندگی به نیو اورلئان بیاید، اما در ادامه خواننده در دام عشق مرد ماهیگیر می افتند واین امر باعث پشیمانی شدید مدیر برنامه هایش میگردد.
